Commander's Palace

We made it back to the hotel just in time to change, lay a bit, and head over to our last dinner spot of the trip.

We saved the best for last.

We learned more about Commander's Palace after eating at the beautiful establishment, but I really really encourage you to watch Ella Brennan: Commanding the Table before you make a reservation (it's on Netflix!). You'll be even more enchanted, and will have immense respect for Ella and her family's prized restaurant.

The experience began once we walked in the doors of the restaurant. The hostesses greeted us so kindly at the front and already had our names memorized. One of the sweet ladies took us through the kitchen and to our table.

It was a fantastic dining experience. It was seamless from beginning to end, with staff who always kept an eye on us to make sure we had everything we needed at all times.

We watched the chef prepare their world-famous Banana Foster Flombay, which was put on the menu by Ella Brennan herself.

Mmm what a night—and a great way to end our time in NOLA.

We rubbed our bellies and bid farewell to the kitchen staff on the way out.

I cannot recommend coming to this city enough. The people, the food, the atmosphere— you won't find anything else like it.

See ya later New Orleans, you will see me again soon!
